A big thank you to all of our families that supported our Read Across America Read-a-thon this year! We celebrated everyone’s effort at an All School Share on Thursday. All participants had their name entered into a grade level drawing. Look who won the Kindergarten prize drawing…
Fun with rectangles. Today we talked about rectangles and their characteristics. Ask your child to tell you about a square, is a square a rectangle?
Today we learned about triangles. We built triangles on a geoboard. If you would like to use a geoboard at home you can check out this nifty app, click here.
We just finished learning new ways to add. We can use math superpowers to help us solve addition problems. Check it out!
Next up is geometry. We will be learning about 2D and 3D shapes. Yesterday we began with attributes of flat shapes.
The Easter Bunny hid our bunny bags!!!! Then he gave us egg clues to find our bags. We had to look in our book box, boots, the fridge, in the hall, in the office, on the linking chart, in the non-fiction book box, in the word work choices and on the phone. We had to watch a video for our last clue. The video was Mrs. Briggs, Mrs. Bowen and Mrs. Stratton dancing!!! That meant that our bags were in the office. We had A LOT of fun on our scavenger hunt!!!!! Happy Easter!
