In writing workshop we have been learning about how to write our opinions to convince others to agree with us. In the upcoming weeks we will be focusing on writing our opinions in the form of letters. Today students wrote letters in hopes to convince Mrs. Hanson, Ms. Deshon, and Mrs. Briggs that our class needs envelopes and stamps (we will use stickers) to create a classroom post office! Some students even thought they could convince their family members! If you would like to send some envelopes and “stamps” in with your students we would gladly add them to our post office as our students have been writing up a storm!
Over the passed couple weeks we have been exploring our five senses and learning about how they help us learn about everything around us. Yesterday we made a graph to see what our favorite senses are.
On Thursday we concluded our unit on the 5 senses! We had fun exploring “worms” with our five senses and wrote what we observed on notecards.
