Some pre-k friends came for a visit. They wanted to play with us. We taught them what it’s like to be in kindergarten. We saw some old friends and teachers. Tomorrow is school spirit day. Show us your school spirit by wearing purple and white!
We learned a new math game called Around the World. We are playing Around the World to practice our addition and subtraction facts. By the end of kindergarten we need to know them in a snap. It is so much fun!
Today we met an author. Angeli Perrow came to our school and talked to us. She likes to write about lighthouses and dogs. We sang songs about lighthouses.
Fun facts about lighthouses:
Maine has 68 lighthouses.
George Washington ordered the first lighthouse to be built, Portland Head Lighthouse.
Every lighthouse flashes it’s own pattern.
Boston harbor lighthouse is the oldest in the country.
We had several sports represented today: hockey, cheerleading, soccer, football, baseball, biking and volleyball.
We leaned a new song in music. You can sing and watch it at home.
